It's an extraordinary piece of writing. It just engulfs you even more with every page you turn. You can actually feel the love he felt for Fusun. It's incredible, hats off!

Again a terrible beauty bursted out in Turkish language. The Museum Of Innocence is a symmetrical dissimilation of love, passion and obsession.

I never quite knew what was going to happen, even from the title of the book, a Museum of Innocence can mean many things, apart from the things he was collecting being apparent that he would make a museum, but who could have know that he would have met up with Füsun again and lived another 9+ years of agonising love.

When I finished the pivotal chapter, The Engagement Party, I flung the book down in disgust and vowed to return it to the library immediately.
Then, to my horror and shame, I realized that not reading the book was causing me even more pain than reading the book. My "manly immorality" had dissolved into a mysterious numbness.

Pamuk describes the relation between the novel and the museum as “The museum is not an illustration of the novel and the novel is not an explanation of the museum. They are two representations of one single story perhaps.” in an interview with German broadcaster Deutsche Welle.
