The Museum of Innocence

READERS' REVIEWS OF THE BOOK BY ORHAN PAMUK

Reviews

Fantastic book. I am amazed as to how he has captured so many details onto paper. I thank god for his gift of articulation and may he write many more. Though I think he should not make a museum as mentioned in the book because that would limit the words. Well to each his own.

If I were to describe The Museum of Innocence in one word, I am afraid I have to invent one; because, it is more than just a great novel. Even when it may feel like it is too long at times, down deep inside, one hopes that it would not end.

Having read all the books of Orhan Pamuk, I can safely say that “The Museum of Innocence” is not his best. The narrative lags in momentum and the characters are not etched in Pamukian colors. His best came out in “My Name is Red”.

Some tight editing would have made Innocence come alive. Reviews of all the novels of Pamuk can be read on my blog. http://chandinisantosh.blogspot.com
